Spring House League Program – CANCELLED
The Ministry of Education has just announced that All publicly-funded schools in Ontario will be closed for 2 weeks following the March Break, in response to Coronavirus. The schools will be closed from March 14 to April 5.
As a result, East York Basketball has made the decision cancel tonight’s registration and will NOT be offering a Spring House League program this year.
The Spring program focuses on skills development, participation and having fun. The first part of each session is devoted to teaching the fundamentals of the game with instruction and drills. The second part of each session offers participants the opportunity to apply what they have learned through a series of basketball scrimmages.
Sessions will run on Saturdays, starting on March 28th through May 30th, at Cosburn Middle School. The schedule for for both the Boys and Girls sessions is as follows:
Spring 2020 House League Schedule
|Tyke||Grades 1 and 2, born in 2012, 13||10:00am – 11:00am|
|Novice||Grades 3 and 4, born in 2010, 11||11:00am – 12:30pm|
|Atom||Grades 5 and 6, born in 2008, 09||12:30pm – 2:00pm|
|Bantam||Grades 7 and 8, born in 2006, 07||2:00pm – 3:30pm|
Fees for the 2020 Spring House League program are $110 (includes a reversible Jersey and a Basketball). Returning participants from the Fall 2019/Winter 2020 House League program can opt out of a new Jersey ($20 discount) and/or a new basketball ($10 discount), if their current jersey/ball are in good condition.
East York Basketball has the following Refund Policy:
- No Refunds will be issued on Program Fees.

Session 1: Saturday, March 28th, 2020
Session 2: Saturday, April 4th, 2020
Session 3: Saturday, April 11th, 2020
Session 4: Saturday, April 18th, 2020
Session 5: Saturday, April 25th, 2020
Session 6: Saturday, May 2nd, 2020
Session 7: Saturday, May 9th, 2020
Session 8: Saturday, May 16th, 2020
Session 9: Saturday, May 23rd, 2020
Session 10: Saturday, May 30th, 2020
Participants must bring their basketball to each session so that they can fully participate in the drills. Please make sure the participant’s name is clearly marked on the ball. If the ball is lost new ones can be purchased at the registration desk each week.
EYBC is a non-profit organization managed and operated solely by volunteers. As the Club continues to grow in membership and programs, the need for volunteers also grows.
