SPRING HOUSE LEAGUE PROGRAM UPDATE

Registration for East York Basketball’s 4th annual Spring League season has now closed. A limited number of spots are still available in the U7/U8 Girls, U7/U8 Boys, and U13-U16 Girls sessions. If interested please contact us at info@eastyorkbasketball.com.

Families that purchased a jersey (+$35) and/or basketball (+$20) as part of their registration, can pick up these items as follows:

    • Where: Cosburn Middle School (Entrance 2)

    • When: Saturday, February 28th, based on the schedule below:

      • U7 to U12 – 10:00am – 12:00pm

      • U13 to U18 – 12:00pm – 2:00pm

The season officially kicks off this Saturday, March 7th, with our MANDATORY ID session. During the ID session, participants will be evaluated to ensure that all teams are balanced for the season, which starts on Saturday, March 28th.

The Spring League is available to boys and girls, ages six and up.

.

While the Fall/Winter program focuses on skills development, the Spring League will follow a more traditional house league structure, with all participants being allocated to and competing as part of set teams for the duration of the season. All participants will be evaluated during Week 1 in order to ensure that all teams are balanced. League play will commence in Week 2.

League Structure:

  • Each team will consist of a maximum of 12 players and based on registration,

    • Boys: no more than 6 teams per session

    • Girls: no more than 4 teams per session

  • As our goal is to continue to develop skills, we will be implementing equal playing time for all players

  • Should players not be able to attend, then teams will play with those on hand. Using Ontario Basketball Association rules, should less than 5 players attend, the game would be forfeit & the other team would be awarded a 2-0 win

  • A full schedule & standings will be available on our website

  • During the final weeks of the League, we will have a playoff weekend(s), resulting in an EYBC Spring League Cup champion for each session

Fees:

  • Fees for the 2026 Spring League season are $125 per participant. Please note that fees do not include a jersey or basketball.

    • The mandatory EYBC reversible jersey is available for purchase, for those participants that do not already have one, at an additional cost of $35

    • A recommended EYBC basketball is available at an additional cost of  $20

  • Family discounts will not be available for the Spring League

Refund Policy:

  • No Refunds will be available for the Spring League.

Friend Requests:

  • We will not be accepting friend requests for the Spring League.
