SPING HOUSE LEAGUE PROGRAM UPDATE – February 5th, 2022
Dear East York basketball community,
EYBC has had to make the tough decision to CANCEL our Spring 2022 House League program.
Given that the public health measures enacted by the Government of Ontario back on January 5th, along with current delays in the release of permits by the school board, resulted in the cancellation of seven Fall/Winter House League sessions, EYBC will be extending the Fall/Winter house league season an additional seven weeks past the original March 5th, 2022 end date. The revised end date for the Fall/Winter House League season will therefore be April 16th, 2022.
As a result, there is simply not enough time available to run our Spring program before the permits conclude in mid-June.
We look forward to having the program back up and running in Spring 2023.
The East York Basketball Club.
The Spring House League program is available for boys and girls, ages six and up.
The program focuses on skills development, participation and fun. The first part of each session is devoted to teaching the fundamentals of the game with instruction and drills. During the second part of each session, participants are able to apply what they have learned during a series of basketball scrimmages.
Sessions will be held on Saturdays from late-March through the end of May at Cosburn Middle School. As we look to expand the program, we will be adding gym facilities in our surrounding community.
The schedule for both the Boys and Girls sessions is as follows:
