East York Eagles Rep Basketball Program

The East York Basketball Club offers a Rep Basketball program aimed at male and female athletes, between the ages of 8 and 18, who are interested in playing basketball at a more competitive level.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The East York Eagles Rep basketball program requires a significant commitment on the part of both players and their families during the season. As a member of a rep team, an athlete must recognize that participation requires a commitment to their teammates and the coaching staff.

A typical season includes 2 weekly practices, as well as exhibition and league games. Teams will also participate in weekend tournaments during the season – some of which may be out of town. Team schedules will be determined by the coaching staff.

The season culminates with the Ontario Basketball Association’s Provincial Championships, which takes place in early April through late May depending on the age group.

Player fees can range from $800 to $1,500+ based on the season schedule.

ABOUT OUR ATHLETES

The East York Eagles rep basketball program is open to all male and female athletes interested in taking the next step in their basketball development. While many of the athletes are products of our House League program, participation in house league is not a requirement.

In addition to having a strong basketball skill set and high basketball IQ, our athletes are fully committed to the process, they exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn, and have respect for the game, their teammates, their coaches, the opposition and the officials.

ABOUT OUR COACHES

Our coaches are all volunteers who have dedicate their time to develop young athletes and to assist them in achieving their highest potential, both on and off the court.

Our coaches are tried and tested in our House League program, prior to being selected to lead one of our Rep basketball teams. All coaches are NCCP certified and have successfully completed Vulnerable Sector Screening police checks.
